Here’s the Lo down

Hey! I’m Lo, the Owner of Something Blue Bridal Boutique. Through this blog I will be giving you “the lo down” on all things bridal - all the tips and tricks, advice and inspiration you need as you navigate this bride to be life. Yes, this blog will be majorly bride and wedding focused but I hope it inspires women in all walks of life as well.

A little bit about me: I’m a wife, small business owner and dog momma. I’ve been married to my best friend and been a business owner since 2017. I was offered to take over Something Blue during my fitting as I was being laced into my wedding dress. After my wedding I immediately started figuring out how I was going to make this dream of mine happen. My husband Cody has been the most amazing supporter as I’ve navigated being a small business owner. Cody and I have known each other since we were 13 and reconnected and started dating in college. It’s crazy the path that life takes you, as we look back little did our 13 year old selves know when we dated in 8th grade we would be married 9 years later. We got our dog Ruston a year ago and it’s safe to say we are obsessed with him. Initially I wanted him to be a shop dog but now that he’s grown to be 65 pounds and needing to be the center of attention always… it hasn’t really worked out. He would be up on the pedestal with the brides smiling for pictures, he can not be left out of anything. He definitely keeps our life interesting.

I have always believed in doing what you love. I have always loved fashion and so I pursued a major in fashion business in college. I always knew I wanted my career to be something I love doing, I never wanted to dread going to work every day. I feel so blessed that I am doing what I love and am passionate about every day. I am always excited to go to work to serve brides and help them find their dream dress.
