Do I need to make an appointment to try on wedding gowns?

We are by appointment only on Saturdays. We recommend appointments anytime or a call before walking in to ensure we can best serve you.

What should I bring to my appointment?

We recommend bringing the closest possible undergarments and shoes you are planning to wear on your wedding day.

Who should I bring with me to my appointment?

Up to four of your closest friends and family.

What if I need to cancel or change my appointment?

Even if it is the morning of your appointment and you can’t make it in, a simple phone call or e-mail is greatly appreciated.

Are children allowed in the boutique?

Children are allowed in the boutique, however we do ask that they are supervised at all times.

Do you buy preowned wedding dresses?

We do not.  We only sell dresses ordered directly from our designers.

Do you rent wedding gowns?

No, we do not rent.  All of our gowns are for purchase.

How much do your dresses cost?

We have a wide range of prices from just under $1,000 to $2,000.  We do have samples for sell off the rack for under $1,000.

What sample sizes do you carry?

Most of our samples are between 10-14, but we have samples from size 8 to 24.  We carry a good selection of plus size dresses.  Additionally, during the try-on process your consultant has special techniques she’ll use to achieve the closest fit possible.  Bridal sizes do typically run slightly smaller than standard sizes, so please keep this in mind when trying on.

How far in advance do I need to order my dress?

We recommend shopping for your wedding dress at least 9-12 months before your wedding day. Most wedding dresses take about 4-5 months to arrive after ordered.  Also, a bride must take into consideration the time she may need for alternations and fittings after the dress arrives.  If you are short on time, dresses are available on a rush delivery for an additional charge.  We also have a good selection of samples that we sell off the rack.

Are Alterations available in-house?

We do not have an in-house seamstress but we have great seamstresses we work with to recommend to our brides.

What can I do with my dress after the wedding?

Something Blue is an elite dealer of the Wedding Gown Preservation Company and carries Wedding Gown Preservation Company kits.  For more information, view their website: Wedding Gown Preservation Co

Do you offer refunds?  Are cancellations possible?

Due to the custom nature of our business, all sales are final.  We cannot accept cancellations once your order is placed or returns of any of our merchandise.
